SRI KRISHNA-THE SUPREAME PERSONALITY OF GODHEAD(ACCORDING TO THE VEDAS)

HARE KRISHNA

'ete cäàça-kaläù puàsaù

TRANSLATION
All of the above-mentioned incarnations are either plenary portions or portions of the plenary portions of the Lord, but Lord SréE Kåñëa(SRI KRISHNA) is the original Personality of Godhead. All of them appear on planets whenever there is a disturbance created by the atheists. The Lord incarnates to protect the theists.

So who is this Being from whom all else is created? Much more information is supplied from numerous Vedic sources. The early Rig-veda (1.22.20-21) SAYS ''Lord Vishnu is that Supreme Being, the Absolute Truth whose lotus feet all the demigods are always eager to see. His most sublime region is only visible to those endowed with spiritual vision, accessed by ever-vigilant devotion.''

The Rig-veda continues elsewhere (1.154.4-5): “Him whose three places that are filled with sweetness and imperishable joy, who verily alone upholds the threefold, the earth, the heaven, and all living beings. May I attain to His well-loved mansion where men devoted to the Gods are happy. For there springs the well of honey [or Soma] in Vishnu’s highest step.”

'The Svetasvatara Upanishad has a similar verse: “No one is superior to Him, nothing is smaller or larger than Him. He is the one Supreme Being (purusha), who has created everything complete. On His planet, He is situated like a steadfast tree, emanating great effulgence.”
The Svetasvatara Upanishad has a similar verse: “No one is superior to Him, nothing is smaller or larger than Him. He is the one Supreme Being (purusha), who has created everything complete. On His planet, He is situated like a steadfast tree, emanating great effulgence.”

If we are expected to understand God, then who better to explain His qualities and characteristics than Himself? So in the Bhagavad-gita, Krishna provides the Self-revelatory truth about His position in His explanations to Arjuna. There are numerous verses in this regard, of which the following are but a few: “And when you have thus learned the truth, you will know that all living beings are but part of Me--and that they are in Me, and are Mine. (4.35) The sages, knowing Me to be the ultimate purpose of all sacrifices and austerities,
the Supreme Lord of all planets and demigods, and the benefactor and well-wisher of all living entities, attain peace from the pangs of material miseries. (5.29) Of all that is material and all that is spiritual in this world, know for certain that I am both its origin and dissolution. (7.6) It is I who am the ritual, I the sacrifice, the offering to the ancestors, the healing herb, the transcendental chant... I am the father of this universe, the mother, the support, and the grandsire.
I am the object of knowledge, the purifier and the syllable om. I am also the Rig, the Sama, and the Yajur Vedas. I am the goal, the sustainer, the master, the witness, the abode, the refuge and the most dear friend. I am the creation and the annihilation, the basis of everything, the resting place and the eternal seed. (9.16-18)

In the 'ATHARVA VEDA(Gopala-tapani Upanishad 1.24) it is said, 'YO BRAMANAM VIDADHATI PURVAM YO VAI VEDAMS CA GAPAYATI SMA KRISHNAH:'
'IT WAS KRISHNA WHO DISSEMINATED VEDIC KNOWLEDGE IN THE PAST. THEN again in the Narayana Upanisad (1) says, 'atha puruso ha vai narayano kamayata prajah srjeyeti''-then the Supreame personality Narayana desired to create living entilities..

THE UPANISHAD CONTINUES, 'narayanad brahma jayte, narayanad prajaptih prajayate, narayanad indro jayate, narayanad astau vasavo jayante, narayanad ekadasa rudra jayate, narayanad dvadasaditah:
meaning:From Narayana Brahma is bornand from Narayana the patriarchs are also born. From Narayana Indra is born, from Narayana the eight Vasus are born, from Narayana the eleven Rudras are born, from Narayana the twelve Adityas are born.''

THIS NARAYANA is an expansion of 'KRISHNA'.IT is said in the same 'Vedas' , ''brahmanyo devaki-putrah' -'the son of devaki, krishna, is the supreame personality''
(Narayana Upanishad 4)

then it is said, 'eko vai narayana asin na brahma na isana napo nagni-samau neme dyav-aprthivi na naksatrani na suryah: ''In the beginning of the creation there was only the supreame personality Narayana.there was no 'Brahma', no 'SHIVA',NO WATER,NO FIRE,NO MOON, no stars in the sky, no sun.''(MAHA UPANISHAD 1)

In the MOKSHYA-DHARMA KRISHNA ALSO SAYS,
'prajapatim ca rudram capy aham eva srjami vai
tau hi mam na vijanito mama maya-vimohitau'
meaning: 'The patriarchs, SHIVA AND Others are created by me, though they do not know that they are created by me because they are deluded by My illusory energy.''

Still there is a question about the impersonal 'BRAHMAN' THE UNMANIFEST.

IN THE 'BHAGAVAT GITA' (12/1)..ARJUNA asked to 'KRISHNA'...'evam satata-yukta ye bhaktas tvam paryupasate
ye capy aksaram avyaktam teskam ke yoga-vittamah'
meaning:.'which are considered to be more perfect, those who are always properly engaged in Your devotional service or those who Worship the impersonal 'BRAHMAN', the unmanifest'
In reply of that question 'KRISHNA' SAYS..BHAGAVAT GITA (12/2)..
.'mayy avesya mano ye mam nitya-yukta upasate
sraddhaya parayopetas te me yuktatama matah'
meaning:''Those who fix their mind on my personal form and are always engaged in worshiping me with great and transcendental faith are considered by Me to be the most perfect.''

A learned scholer who has studied the 'VEDAS' PERFECTLY and has information from authorities like Lord Chaytanya and who knows how to apply these teachings can understand that 'KRISHNA' is the origin of everything in both the material and spiritual worlds, and because He knows this perfectly he becomes firmly fixed in the devotional service of the SUPREAME Lord.He can never deviated by any amount of nonsensical commentaries or by fools. All 'VEDIC' LITERATURE agrees that 'KRISHNA' is the source of 'BRAHMMA', SHIVA AND ALL OTHER DEMIGODS.
